These paintings resulted from exploring how to work on a stretched canvas substrate instead of paper without giving up my tools (Chinese brushes) or my preferred media (pigment based inks and Japanese watercolors). The canvas is prepared with a transparent ground and the surface is sealed with archival mineral-spirit based varnish.
